 Largest dodgeball game: RIT students set world record (Video)

ROCHESTER, NY, USA -- Rochester Institute of Technology's Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and the university's Dodgeball Club worked together to draw 2,136 players at RIT's Gordon Field House and Activities Center for a two hours game - setting the new world record for the Largest dodgeball game .

  The Guinness world record for the largest dodgeball game was played by 2,012 participants and was organized by the University of Alberta at the Universiade Pavillion (Butterdome), in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Guinness World Records also recognized the largest game of gaga ball world record, set by 481 participants and organized by Briarwood Day Camp in Furlong, Pennsylvania, USA.

  The World's Largest Dodgeball Game was organized by members of a dodgeball club at the Rochester Institute of Technology and took place at RIT's Gordon Field House and Activities Center.

  The game, which featured a team in brown shirts versus a team in orange shirts, took nearly two hours. At the end, about 30 players were still standing for the victorious orange team.

  The school beat the previous record of 2,012 players held by the University of Alberta in Canada.
