The Guinness World Records' record for the longest line of tables measures 4,303 m (14,117 ft 5.11 in) and was achieved by Radioactive (Egypt), in Alexandria, Egypt, on 26 June 2015. 3,106 tables were set along the coast of Alexandria.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest table cloth; it measures 2,013.42 m (6,605 ft 8.3 in) in length and was created by Pro Loco Piancogno (Italy) in Piancogno, Italy on 13 September 2014.

    Covering no less than 4,303 metres, a total of 3,106 tables were set up along the seafront of the Mediterranean city of Alexandria;

   The event took place on the evening of 26 June, during the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast from dawn till dusk.

   Around 800 volunteers took part in the event, which saw thousands break their fast with free-of-charge Iftar meals on the now longest table in the globe.

    The event was sponsored by the Egyptian Businessmen Association, The Chamber of Commerce of Alexandria, as well as a big number of meat and fish restaurants, Youm7 quoted Alexandria Governor Hany el-Meseery as saying.

   Ossama Barakat, one of the organisers of the event, said the 4.5 kilometre (2.7 mile) long table had surpassed in length the previous record-holder Italy's table, which he said was two kilometres long (1.2 miles).

 "Due to the terrible planning of the event, organizers decided to make it exclusive and requested that people register online to attend. But then the governor of Alexandria, Hani El Messiery, showed up and decided to open it to the public at the last minute. Shockingly, the last-minute change turned the event into complete mayhem. And if that wasn't enough to infuriate starved attendees, food was stolen from trucks and many had to wait for hours to eat and drink," The Step Feed reported.

    In 2013, United Arab Emirates' Sharjah broke Guinness World records record with the longest Iftar table ; it measured 1.003-Kilometer long with 410 tables and seats for 2000 people. The Cairo Post reports.
