The Guinness World Records' record for the largest Caesar salad was prepared by Canirac, the Tijuana Restauranteurs Chamber of Commerce, weighed 3.287 tonnes (7,246 lb) and was unveiled in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico on 20 October 2007.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest fruit salad; it weighed 8,690 kg (19,158 lb 2.72 oz) and was achieved by Spar Österreichische Warenhandels-AG (Austria) in Vienna, Austria, on 27 June 2014.

Orange-based company Lycored turned Times Square into a 1,000-pound tomato salad, all in the name of wellness – and breaking a world record.

The Times Square display broke the Guinness World Record for the world's largest display of tomato varieties (with 132 different types from all around the world).

Chef Donny Rogoff also created a 1,000-pound tomato salad with fresh herbs and a citrus-lemon vinaigrette to celebrate.

Tim Stark and James Weaver, growers of heirloom tomatoes, supplied 120 varieties of tomatoes for the salad.

Half of the salad was given out as a free, healthy lunch to passersby, and the other half was donated to City Harvest, a food rescue organization dedicated to feeding nearly 1.4 million New Yorkers who struggle to provide for themselves and their families.
