The Guinness world record for the largest serving of rice pudding weighed 303.74 kg (669 lbs 10 oz) and was achieved by Serres Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Serres, Greece.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most pudding eaten in three minutes: 1.34 kg (2 lb 15 oz), achieved by Donald Cunningham (USA) at Elizabeth Circle Park in Eustis, Florida, USA.

A spokesperson for Farmhouse Fare said: "It was a fun day, we raised a great amount of money for charity and were really pleased.

The World's Largest Sticky Toffee Pudding contained 190 eggs, 91kg of sugar and enough butter to spread on 7,300 sandwiches.
The cream used in the sauce would be enough to top 2,400 scones for a cream tea, and it would take a date tree six months to produce the 38kg of dates used.

The previous Guinness World Record was for a 200kg pudding.

The Largest Sticky Toffee Pudding in The World weighed 334kg and took 10.5 hours to bake.

Allison Metcalf, site operations manager at the Lancashire-based pudding firm, told British Baker that the firm trialled the baking of the pudding beforehand, originally baking it at a lower temperature for longer, but this didn't work.
To aid the baking of the middle of the pudding, hollow aluminium tubes were placed through the cake to help the heat disperse more effectively.

"It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the pudding, while raising money for a very worthwhile cause," said Farmhouse Fare's founder Helen Colley for The Clitheroe Advertiser.

"We're so proud of our team of bakers for creating such a magnificent pudding, and of our suppliers, Booths and members of the public for their incredible generosity."

The record attempt was supported by supermarket chain Booths, which served up slices of the pudding – which was mixed by hand – in two of its Lancashire stores.
