 Largest lasagna meal washed in dishwashers: Fairy brand sets world record (VIDEO)

TEL AVIV, Israel -- Having broken the Guinness World Records' world record with the largest dishwashing event last year at Ben Gurion University, Fairy brand now set its sights on a new record: during a welcome back to school happening at the collage of management, Rishon Lezion, Procter & Gamble served 4,000 lasagna meals to students; at the same time they places 24 Whirlpool dishwashers, and together with Fairy's capsula they washed one thousand and thirty five pyrex dishes with no pre-wash, breaking the world record for the Largest lasagna meal washed in dishwashers, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the most dishes washed at one time is 23,892. Following the serving of pasta Bolognese, a team of 150 people from Vester Hæsinge Idrætsforening, Brobyværk Idrætsforening and Sandholt-Lyndelse Forsamlingshus cleaned the dishes using one litre (0.2 gal) of Fairy Liquid at the Langelandsfestivalen in Rudkøbing, Denmark on 28 July 2004. After the serving of 3.75 tonnes (8,267 lb) of hot pasta bolognese, the dishes were washed from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. by 150 people, using 26 sinks and 200 tables.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest dish washed; it is 3 m (10 ft) in diameter and was achieved by the washing-up liquid Dawn Direct Foam (Procter and Gamble), in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, on 1 February 2008. The dish, which took two weeks to make, was washed by NFL legend Emmitt Smith on the eve of Super Bowl XLII which was won by the New York Giants. The dish was designed and constructed by Tim Vittetoe, Scott Nakada, Greg Reed and Lisa Hansell.

  "Lasagna is one of the most popular and favorite Israeli meals, but is also the hardest to rince in dishwashers- as brought to our noliege during an Israeli sourvey in this subject."
     Fairys survey shows that 80% are scared and belive that its not possible to clean lasagna meals in a dish washer if you don't pre-hand wash them. 41% aren't happy with the dishwashers out come.

   In order to qualify as a world record by the World Record Academy, P&G Israel cooked 1,1760KG lasagna in 1,100 pyrex dishes (size 19*34), from each pyrex we served the students 8 lasanga meals.   During this event P&G served 4,000 lasagna meals, and 1,035 pyrex dishes (size 19*34) were spotless after they were washed in the dishwashers with fairy's capuslas.  4,800 meals were donaited to "lasova" voluntary association.

   Twenty four Whirlpool dishwashers with the unique Power Clean System that features 32 sprinklers in the dishwasher's rear side were tasked with cleaning the lasagna Pyrex dishes with Fairy's dishwashing capsulas to provide an ongoing supply of clean, shiny lasagna pyrex dishes.

   Various activities and raffles in the Fairy zone offered students a chance to win a dishwasher or annual supply of Fairy dish liquid.

    The successful world record attempt was organized by Promarket agency (Procter and Gamble Israel's marketing agency).

   A new Fairy commercial was shot (see below video) at the Happening's zone with Aharoni and Gavri, the Brand's presenters for seven years already who have become synonymous with it. The two were joined by Ophir Guttman, VP of marketing of Procter & Gamble Israel.
