  Largest Heart-Shaped Pizza: Big Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria sets world record

LOS ANGELES, CA, USA -- The Huffington Post partnered with @BigMamasNPapas to make the biggest heart-shaped pizza ever for #Valentinesday; cooks Mehran Boghossian and Sean Gregory completed the heart-shaped pizza that ended up being the size of a small child and setting the new world record for the Largest heart-Shaped Pizza, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest pizza commercially available is 1 m 37 cm (4 ft 6 in) by 1 m 37 cm (4 ft 6 in) and is sold at the Big Mama''s and Papa''s Pizzeria, Los angeles, California. It is a square pizza which is said to serve between 50 and 100 people. It has a cost of $199.99 (plus tax) and is deliverable within a certain area. Mama''s and Papa''s Pizzeria needs a minimum of 24 hours notice to be able to make the pizza and it has proved popular for childrens'' and adults'' parties.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people tossing pizza dough; it is 278 and was achieved by Istituto Nazionale della Pizza (Italy), in Naples, Italy, on 16 September 2014.

   Big Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria makes the "largest pizza commercially available" according to the Guinness World Records.

    Knowing they had the ability to make very big pizzas, The Huffington Post reached out to BMPP to see if they would be interested in making the largest heart-shaped pizza ever in anticipation of Valentine's Day.

   The BMPP Burbank location took on the task, with cooks Mehran Boghossian and Sean Gregory completing the heart-shaped pizza that ended up being the size of a small child, The Huffington Post reports.

  After completion, the pizza was delivered and donated to the ER Team at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center
