The Guinness World Records' record for the longest line of breads is 973.24 m (3,193 ft 0.46 in) and was achieved by Maillard Gourmandises et Traditions (Switzerland), in Châtel-St-Denis, Switzerland.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people spreading spread on bread simultaneously; it is 435 and was achieved by Maison de l'Emploi, de la Formation et de l'Entreprise (France), in Mutzig, Alsace, France.

The "World's Largest Rustic Potato Bread" spent about six hours in the oven at a temperature of about 300 degrees Celsius.

To make the World's Largest Rustic Potat Bread the bakers used 57 kg of flour, 34 litres of water, 5 kg of potatoes and 1 kg of yeast and salt.

Potato bread is a form of bread in which potato replaces a portion of the regular wheat flour. It is cooked in a variety of ways, including baking it on a hot griddle or pan, or in an oven. Organic recipes call for mashed potatoes, with others calling for dehydrated potato flakes. This bread started out in the late nineteenth century as a means of making use of mashed potato leftovers, the potato being a staple part of the diet .

After being removed from the oven, the Largest Rustic Potato Bread in the World was scraped to remove the burnt crust.

Rustic bread is a form of bread which does NOT contain any "improvers". Its many names reflect this: rustic bread, farm bread, country bread, pain de campagne and hearty country loaf. Rustic type breads are formed by hand instead of by a machine in a factory.

"In order to be ripe inside, it must have this colour", baker Laszlo Dioszegi specified. The bread had the crust peeled, then cut and shared with the visitors.

"This bread is enough for 800 people, considering that a person consumes about 100 grams at one meal", Dioszegi Laszlo, leader of bakers team, said.

At his third attempt to achieve a world record, baker Laszlo Dioszegi added he intended to make an even larger bread.

"We will not stop until 200 kg", Laszlo Dioszegi said.

World Record Academy created this category ('Rustic Bread') to encourage small organic bread producers to gain recognition of their work and benefit from promotion, without uselessly spending immense amounts of money for making giant products weighting tones – and which cannot be made without traditional methods.

INDAGRA 2013 gathered over 430 companies in Romania, but also from other 20 countries, occupying an expositional area of over 30,000 square meters.

Romania was designated in 2013 the "Country of the Year" in BioFach, the most important ecologic products fair, in Nurnberg, Germany.
