  Oldest Bartender: Angie MacLean sets world record (PICS and Video)

BRIDGEPORT, Conn., USA--Angie MacLean, 97, has been bartending at Panama Joe's Cafe in Bridgeport for nearly two decades - setting the new world record for the Oldest Bartender, according to World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the longest career as a bartender was achieved by Clarice J. Kramer Cadarette Grenkowicz (b. 2 June 1919, USA) who has served as the primary bartender at the Maplewood Tavern in Alpena, Michigan, for 71 years.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most cocktails made in one hour by a team: 1,541, achieved by 42BELOW (New Zealand) and the US Bartenders' Guild (USA) at the ACE Hotel in New York, New York, USA.

  "Everybody comes here, they love her," said Joe Fernandes Jr., who owns the bar and restaurant with Joe Fernandes Sr. "No one's got nothing bad to say about her, a lot of people come here just to see her," Connecticut Post notes.

  According to WTNH, "Angie MacLean is the birthday girl, and the star attraction at Panama Joe's Cafe."

  "Everybody comes here, they love her. No one's got nothing bad to say about her, a lot of people come here just to see her," said owner of Panama Joe's Cafe, Joe Fernandes Jr.

  Her drink of choice, "I drink Bailey's," said MacLean.

  "Angie does everything. She plays pool, she does cooking, she does the decorations on all the holidays," said fellow bartender Barbara Acevedo.

  She is a girl who mixes drinks, and business with pleasure, but can be tough when she needs to be.

 "She knows this place better than everybody; she's not afraid to throw anyone out," said Fernandes Jr.   

  Angie does everything. She plays pool, she does cooking, she does the decorations on all the holidays," said fellow bartender Barbara Acevedo.

 "She doesn't let no one boss her around, that's for sure, she's the boss," said fellow bartender Isonette Hernandez.
