  Most Expensive Coffee Maker: Blossom One Limited sets world record (VIDEO)

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, USA -- Created by Blossom Coffee and developed by Jeremy Kuempel, the Blossom One Limited was designed by former NASA and Apple engineers and is intended for commercial use; it is about the size of a traditional desktop computer, measuring 7 inches wide and costing $11,111 - it sets the world record for the Most Expensive Coffee Maker, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the largest coffee party in a single venue involved 8,162 participants and was set by Krüger GmbH & Co. KG (Germany) at the Jugendpark in Cologne, Germany.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Largest Simultaneous Coffee Party, set by Macmillan Cancer Relief (UK), which broke their record of the previous year for the largest coffee morning with a total number of 576,157 people attending over 26,000 meetings simultaneously throughout the UK.

   The Blossom One coffee machine was developed by Jeremy Kuempel. Kuempel, who graduated from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering, is a self-proclaim coffee fanatic who wanted to figure out a way to create the perfect cup of coffee.  

  He realized that the quality of coffee varies because there's no way to control all the variables that go into making coffee.

   The Blossom One was designed by Joey Roth and made from mahogany, stainless steel and glass.

   The machine also connects to WiFi and has a camera for a QR scanner. They hope that some day, coffee bags will have a QR code that the machine will recognize and brew appropriately.

  Being that the machine is so pricey, it is designed for high end coffee shops. Only 10 models will be available in 2013.
