Largest collection of sick bags: Niek Vermeulen sets world record
WORMERVEER, Holland -- Niek Vermeulen, a 74 year old Dutchman, has accumulated 6,016 bags from 1,142 different airlines
in 160 countries in more than 40 years of
collecting , setting the world record for the Largest
collection of airline sick bags.

According to Guinness World Records "Niek Vermeulen (Netherlands) has 6,016 airline sickness bags from 1,142 different airlines from more than 160 countries, as of 29 January 2010, which he has accumulated since the 1970s."
The Guinness world record for the largest cork collection in the world is owned by Antonio Fontela Blanco and Rosa Maria Valdes Diaz of Oviedo, Asturias, Spain who had collected 744 different bottle corks from 284 brands of natural cider from Asturias, Spain.
He started collecting them when he made a bet with a friend to see who could accumulate the most of any one item and register a world record.
His favourite bag if from NASA space shuttle Columbia that spent 16 days in space.
The owner of the World's Largest Collection of Sick Bags
said: "I'm old now and my medical situation is best described as 'the time is coming', so I've started looking for a successor to take over my collection."
