  Largest collection of sheep-related items: Michelle Sullivan breaks Guinness world record (VIDEO)

Birmingham, UK -- Birmingham single mum Michelle Sullivan, 42, has spent 17 years amassing a 780-strong haul of woolly wonders (as of July 2013), setting the new world record for the Largest collection of sheep-related items, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

 The previous Guinness world record for the Largest collection of sheep-related items was set by June Francis (Canada), who has 692 sheep-related items, as of June 2011.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the fastest time to shear a single merino lamb; it is 53.88 seconds by Dwayne Black (Australia) in Beijing, China.

  Michelle, aged 42, said: "I would say that 70 per cent of the items have been bought for me, and I get about one or two in the post each week.

  "The furthest they have come from is Australia and New Zealand. They contact me through Twitter mainly.

    "I am a big sheep lover. It started off with Shaun the Sheep after I saw the animated film A Close Shave and I just thought he was so cute."

  Her collection is now so huge that it struggles to fit inside one room of her two-bed property, where she lives with her 24-year-old son Leigh and three Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

  "My family all say I'm barmy but you can guarantee that they will bring me a toy sheep when they see me, so I blame them."
