The Guinness World Records' record for the Greatest altitude for a balloon skywalk was set by Mike Howard of the United Kingdom who walked on a beam between two balloons at an altitude of 6,522 meters (21,400 feet) near Yeovil, Somerset, U.K., on Sept. 1, 2004.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Highest tightrope walk (ground supported), set by Freddy Nock who negotiated an altitude difference of 50 meters durig his 347 meters walk between two Swiss mountaintops on a synthetic tightrope with a diameter of just 18mm.

Jutting out of a cliff's edge, the glass skywalk sits at a height of 1,010 meters. The glass bridge is named "Yuanduan," which means "at the end of the clouds."

Staff in the park said the bridge could withstand an 8.0-magnitude earthquake and level-14 typhoon.

The bridge is designed to host a maximum of 200 people at one time. However, the park has limited the number of people standing on the skywalk to 30 at a time to guarantee a better experience.

The price to stand on the skywalk is 60 yuan, with each visitor allowed to stay on the bridge for 30 minutes.
