Largest porcelain jar-world record set by Xu Sijin

  JINGDEZHEN, Jiangxi Province, China-- Porcelain artisan master Xu Sijin created a colossal crock of black and white porcelain, which stands at 1.36 meters in height, measures 6.8 meters in perimeter, with a caliber of 2 meters and a total weight of over 1,500 kg -setting the world record for the Largest porcelain jar .

 It took local porcelain artisan master Xu Sijin more than a year to finish the facture and a group of painters to accomplish the pattern of the Yangtze River Three Gorges on the profile. ( enlarge photo )

   The Largest porcelain jar has been included into the 2010 edition of the Book of World Records edited by the World Record Academy.
