  Largest packaged product display: El Paso grocery store breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)


EL PASO, Texas, USA -- 71,595 12-pack cases of Pepsi sodas measuring 16,689 feet were stacked up high and wide at the Food King grocery store in southcentral El Paso; the display weighed in at 744,588 pounds,
setting the new world record for the Largest packaged product display, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

  The Guinness World Records' record for the largest packaged product display measures 472.58 m³ (16,689 ft³) achieved by Lowe's Market and Pepsi Co. (USA) in El Paso, Texas, USA.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest seafood display; it consisted of 2,271.7 kg (5,008 lb) of seafood and was achieved by Schmidt Zeevis and Wichter Steller of Schmidt Zeevis (Netherlands) with the help of the executive Chef Erik Troost of SS Rotterdam and his team on the Lido deck of the SS Rotterdam, in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

   More than 71,000 12-pack cases of Pepsi were stacked up high and wide at the Food King grocery store in southcentral El Paso.

 To be exact, 71,595 12-pack cases of Pepsi sodas measuring 16,689 feet are stacked at the Alameda location.

  The display weighed in at 744,588 pounds.

  "We built this world record display without any injuries -- injury free," said CEO of Lowe's market Roger Lowe.

  A toilet paper company in Turkey held the record before, according to Guiness World Records.
