Largest lederhosen - world record set by Walter Sinnhofer
HENNDORF, Austria -- Tailor Walter Sinnhofer from Henndorf in the province of Salzburg said it took him nearly two months to produce a 50-kilo lederhosen which is five metres high and four metres wide - setting the new world record for the largest pair of lederhosen .

Sinnhofer explained he used 77 square metres of cow skin in the process.

Lederhosen are a traditional men’s clothing in the mountainous regions of Austria as well as in the Swiss Alps.

Guinness World Records officials already acknowledged his 38-milimetre version – which he usually wears stuck to his hat – as the smallest lederhosen on the planet some years ago.
