  Largest Coupon: Jack in the Box® breaks Guinness World Records world record

SAN DIEGO, CA, USA -- Jack in the Box ® celebrated its new BUTTERY JACK™ burgers in a BIG WAY, by achieving the world record title; measured at a staggering 80 feet tall by 25 feet wide, it was first redeemed for a buy one, get one free (BOGO) Buttery Jack burger by Jack himself, along with members of the Los Angeles community, at Jack in the Box's Hollywood restaurant, setting the new world record for the Largest Coupon, according to the World Record Academy .

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest lunchbox measured 2.29 m x 2.03 m x 1.02 m (90 in x 80 in x 40 in) and was created by Coupons for Change (USA). It was presented and measured in Mountain View, California, USA, on 15 August 2012. The lunchbox was an outsized to scale replica of a regular size lunch box. The box was filled with 400 backpacks containing food for children in need.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest hamburger; it weighed 913.54 kg (2,014 lb) and was prepared by Black Bear Casino Resort (USA), Carlton, Minnesota, USA, on 2 September 2012. The hamburger was topped with 23.81 kg (52.5 lb) of tomatoes, 22.68 kg (50 lb) of lettuce, 27.22 kg (60 lb) of onion, 8.62 kg (19 lb) of pickles, 18.14 kg (40 lb) of American cheese and 7.48 kg (16.5 lb) of bacon.

 After redemption, the coupon was proudly displayed at the W Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard for all to see, snap a photo and use. During the festivities, Jack celebrated with fans by giving away free Buttery Jacks, taking pictures and dancing to an epic DJ.

   "We are so excited to celebrate the official world record title and set the record for the world's Largest coupon," said Iwona Alter, Jack in the Box Vice President of Menu Strategy & Innovation.

  "Creativity and originality are at the core of everything we do at Jack in the Box, and the world's Largest coupon is an exciting – and HUGE – way for us to share our new Buttery Jacks with as many of our guests as possible."

    The melt-in-your-mouth Buttery Jacks feature garlic herb butter melted on top of a new, quarter-pound signature beef patty, tucked inside Jack's gourmet signature bun.

   Guests have two options for their BOGO Buttery Jacks: The Classic Buttery Jack features creamy tomato sauce, green leaf lettuce, fresh tomatoes and Provolone cheese, while the Bacon & Swiss Buttery Jack features creamy bacon mayo, hickory smoked bacon and Swiss cheese.
