Biggest Catherine Wheel: Malta sets world record (Video)
MQABBA, Malta -- The Lilly Fireworks Factorylit a Catherine Wheel with an impressive diameter of 32metres (105 feet) - setting the new world record for the Biggest Catherine Wheel.

The previous Guinness world record was set in England with a diameter of 26 metres (85 feet) and had stood for 12 years.
Guinness World Records also recognized the largest firework display: 66,326 fireworks, achieved by Macedo'S Pirotecnia Lda. in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.
The success ended a year of frustration after last year's attempt had to be called off because of damage caused by strong winds.
