  Longest drum roll: Jayson Brinklet breaks Guinness World Records record

LONDON, UK -- Jayson Brinklet, from Dagenham, Essex, drummed for 12 hours, five minutes and five seconds and his wrist completely seized up; Jayson beat the old Guinness World Records world record by five minutes and four seconds and has set the new world record for the Longest individual drum roll, according to the World Record Academy .

The Guinness World Records' record for the longest group drum roll is 64 hr 27 min 59 sec and was achieved by the Corps of Drums of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Band Service (UK) at the Tower of London, London, UK, on 3 May 2014.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Largest group drum roll, set by a total of 1,682 drummers, led by Guildo Horn, (Germany) played a drum roll for 5 min 2 sec, in an event organised by Lebenshilfe-Werke Trier GmbH, Diedenhofener, Germany, on 30 August 2009.

   Jayson Brinklet set the new record after drumming for 12 hours, five minutes and five seconds.

   But as soon as the 44-year-old finished, he had to go straight to hospital for treatment for his injured wrist.

   The record will be added to the Book of World Records as the longest individual drum roll ever done.

   Jayson, from Dagenham, Essex, beat the old Guinness World Records world record by five minutes and four seconds.
