  Largest parade of steam rollers: Dorset breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)

Tarrant Hinton, UK -- The 103 vintage steam rollers assembled to form part of the fair's "Roller Special" at the Great Dorset Steam Fair in Tarrant Hinton, Dorset, UK, broke the previous Guinness World Records' record for the Largest parade of steam rollers, set by the Great Dorset Steam Fair in 2003-exactly ten years prior to the dayand, which included a total of 32 vintage steam roller ; it also sets the new world record for the Largest parade of steam rollers, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest parade of steam rollers consists of 103 vintage steam rollers and was achieved by the Great Dorset Steam Fair (UK) in Tarrant Hinton, Dorset, UK, on 31 August 2013. Ten years prior to the day, the Great Dorset Steam Fair set the previous record with 32 vintage steam rollers.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest parade of tow trucks; it consisted of 324 tow trucks and was organized by Worldwide Equipment Sales Tow Trucks for Tots (USA).

  Martin Oliver, Managing Director, said: "One hundred and three steam rollers rolled themselves down in history, with the icing on the cake being the breaking of our own World Record for the greatest number of steam rollers going over a newly laid piece of road."

  Fittingly, the roller that actually broke the record was "Lord Jellicoe", a Fowler that belonged to Martin's late father Michael Oliver, the founder of the Great Dorset Steam Fair, the Dorset Echo reported.
