 Tightest parallel parking: Chinese driver breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)

BEIJING, China -- During the Drift Championships held in Chongqing, China, stunt driver Han Yue regained the World Record for the tightest parallel park, squeezing a Mini 3 Door hatch into a space only 8cm longer than the car; Han's feat shaved 0.6cm off the previous Guinness World Records record set by British driver Alastair Moffat, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the Tightest parallel parking in reverse was set by Terry Grant (UK), who parked a Renault Twingo GT in reverse in a space that was only 15 cm (5 in) longer than the car, at ExCel London, London, UK, on 3 February 2008.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Largest automated parking facility was set by The Emirates Financial Towers in Dubai, UAE; it has an automated parking facility that can store 1,191 cars and occupies a net internal area of 27,606.14 m² (297,150 ft²). The modular parking system is capable of multiple, simultaneous rapid pallet movements and is programmed to control a peak capacity of 360 cars per hour. The facility was completed on 26 June 2011.
