  Most people performing a kata: Young Gloves Karate breaks Guinness world record (VIDEO)

STOURPORT, UK -- Two hundred and fourteen Young Gloves Karate students broke the Guinness World Records' record for the most people performing a Kata (a choreographed pattern of Karate movements) while raising funds for the Worcestershire Deaf Children's Society as a young member of Young Gloves has hearing difficulties, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the most people performing a kata is 82 and was achieved by the Academy of Martial Arts (Canada) in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, on 24 November 2012.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people performing a raindance; it is 395 and was achieved by PEI (Ireland) at Carton House, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland.

  Kata is a choreographed pattern of Karate movements and the current Guinness World Records' record is held in Japan by 82 people.

  Donations on the day totalled £340, according to the Kidderminster Shuttle.
