 Longest line of envelopes: China breaks Guinness World Records record

BEIJING, China -- College students and charity volunteers managed to set a new World record for the longest line of envelopes in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province; participants used 3,004 red envelopes filled with letters from Chinese students and volunteers from all around the world to form a heart-shaped pattern; they succeeded in creating a 335.23 metre long line of envelopes,
according to the World Record Academy .

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest envelope measures 17.86 m (58 ft 7.15 in) in length and 13.10 m (42 ft 11.75 in) in width and was created by Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College (India) in Aligarh, India, on 3 April 2013.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest human letter; it consists of 2,113 people and was achieved by Mizuho Financial Group (Japan) at Makuhari Messe, in Chiba, Chiba, Japan, on 18 October 2015.

    The event held by a nonprofit organisation Heart Chorus Association International aims to raise funds for students living in poverty.

   The envelopes will be mailed to the children and to new volunteers.

   The previous Guinness World Records world record was set by the same organisation, using 2,409 envelopes in Toronto, Canada in August this year.
