Paul Moore, communications director for Easyjet, said: "We thought our passengers would enjoy this festive form of in-flight entertainment and to achieve a World Record title at the same time as filling the plane with seasonal songs is the icing on the Christmas cake.

Mark De-Lisser, The ACM Gospel Choir director and vocal coach, added: "Singing is what we do and we have sung in some amazing, weird and even dangerous places, but to be given the opportunity to sing some festive cheer to the on-board passengers as we cruise at over 39,000 feet is truly out of this world.

"Achieving a World Record title at the same time is a great end to a very eventful year for the choir."
