Tallest living dog: Bentley The Great Dane breaks Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

THROOP, PA, USA -- Bentley The Great Dane
(owner Bob Magliocchi) is 38 inches tall, 228 pounds, and eats 110 pounds of food a month; he lives in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; Bentley is a gentle giant and sets
the new world record for the Tallest living dog, according to the World Record Academy .
Bentley, a 38-inch-tall Great Dane from Throop, PA, is the definition of a gentle giant.

The Guinness World Records' record for the tallest dog ever is 'Zeus' (USA) a Great Dane, who measured 1.118 m (44 in) tall on 4 October 2011 and is owned by Denise Doorlag and her family, of Otsego, Michigan, USA.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the smallest dog living , in terms of height; it is a female Chihuahua called Milly , who measured 9.65 cm (3.8 in) tall on 21 February 2013 and is owned by Vanesa Semler of Dorado, Puerto Rico.

   Bentley's owner Bob Magliocchi and his family in have always had Great Danes, but never one like Bentley. He's the biggest by far and now possibly the largest in the world.

    The 5-year-old dog stands 38-inches-tall from paw to shoulder. He has an appetite, too, eating about 30 pounds of dog food a week.

   Bentley is even large enough to help himself to get ice from the ice maker – his famous party trick.

   Bentley is the textbook definition of a gentle giant; he even considers himself a lap dog.
