Most people wearing false moustaches: Broncos breaks Guinness World Records record

DENVER, CO, USA -- During the Denver Broncos Football home game against the New England Patriots the team and its fans set a new World Record; The Broncos broke the world record for the Most people wearing false mousaches, according to the World Record Academy .

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest gathering of people wearing false moustaches is 2,268 and was achieved by the City of Fairfield & the Fairfield RAGBRAI Committee (both USA), in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, on 26 July 2013.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as cows; it is 1,352 participants at the Cow Muster (Australia) during the Deja Moo Country Fair in Cowaramup, Australia, on 12 July 2014.

    In partnership with UCHealth, orange mustaches were handed out to fans attending the game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

    At the two-minute warning before halftime, fans were asked to wear their mustaches and set the record.

   The stunt was meant to raise awareness for issues affecting men's health, including prostate and testicular cancer, heart health, exercise, nutrition, lung cancer screenings and the importance of annual checkups.

  "Setting this new record was a lot of fun, but it also has a very important message," UCHealth Chief Marketing Officer Manny Rodriguez said in a statement.

  "Checkups with a primary care doctor and health screenings can improve men's health and even save lives by catching diseases in early stages. This is one of many ways UCHealth is focused on improving lives in the communities we serve."
