  Most people tying their shoes simultaneously: Mall of America breaks Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

BLOOMINGTON, MN, USA -- More than 250 people gathered at Mall of America to "lace up for diabetes" and successfully break the Guinness World Records record for the most people tying their shoes simultaneously; one in three American adults will be affected by diabetes by the year 2050; Novo Nordisk, JDRF and the American Diabetes Association have joined together to raise awareness of World Diabetes Week at Mall of America, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the most people caroling is 1,822 and was achieved by the Waukesha Downtown Business Association (USA) in Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA, on 22 November 2013.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people apple bobbing; it is 357 and was achieved by the Ontario Apple Growers (Canada) at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on 21 February 2011.

   One in three American adults will be affected by diabetes by the year 2050. Novo Nordisk, JDRF and the American Diabetes Association have joined together to raise awareness of World Diabetes Week at Mall of America.

Mall of America is the nation's largest retail and entertainment complex.
