  Largest human thangedu flower: world record set by Telangana (VIDEO)

   Hyderabad, India -- About 3,000 women clad in yellow and greensaris had formed the shape of a Thangedu, thus setting the new world record for the Largest human thangedu flower, according to the World Record Academy .

     The previous world record was for the formation of a Thangedu flower by 2,567 women. 

    Senna auriculata is a legume tree in the subfamily Caesalpinioideae. It is commonly known by its local names matura tea tree, ranawara or avaram, (Kannada: ?????? ?varike, Telugu: ?????? ta?g??u, Tamil: ????? ?v?rai) or the English version avaram senna.
   It is the State flower of Telangana. It occurs in the dry regions of India and Sri Lanka. It is common along the sea coast and the dry zone in Sri Lanka.
