  Largest human mattress dominoes: New Orleans sets world record (Video)

New Orleans, LA, USA--850 people holding mattresses behind their backs were pushed over to make a human domino chain during an event organized by hotel firm La Quinta Inns & Suites - setting the new world record for the Largest human mattress dominoes , according to World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The previous Guinness world record for the largest human mattress dominoes was achieved by 526 participants during an event organised by Tuco Meubles - Comercial Luna (Spain), in Huesca, Spain.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the human dominoes (without mattresses), set by 10,267 people at a fair in China.

  A group of mattress suppliers supplied 850 mattresses for the attempt; the mattresses will now be donated to local charities.

  It took several minutes for hundreds of people to fall back into each other but the New Orleans crowd erupted in cheers when it was over.

  A Guinness World Records representative was on-site to judge the event and present the World Record certificate in Louisiana.
