  Fastest Battery-Powered RC Car: Nic Case breaks Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)


Camarillo, CA, USA -- After years of attempts, remote-control car enthusiast Nic Case has finally built a car that passed 200 mph, setting a new land speed record for R/C cars; according to the Radio Operated Scale Speed Association, Case's car hit a top speed of 202.02 mph,
setting the new world record for the Fastest battery-powered remote-controlled model car (RC), according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Radio Operated Scale Speed Association (ROSSA), which sanctions speed trials of R/C cars, recorded that Case's new Bullet hit a top speed of 202.02 mph (325.12 kmph), which sets the new world record for the fastest Radio Controlled model car. The Guinness World Records' record for the fastest speed achieved by a battery-powered radio-controlled model car is 276.74 km/h (171.96 mi/h), set by the "R/C Bullet" driven by Nic Case (USA) at McFarland, California, USA on 19 December 2012.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest distance covered by a battery-operated remote-controlled model car; it is 38.28 km (23.79 miles), achieved by David Stevens (Australia) at the Templestowe Flat Track Racing Club, Templestowe, Victoria, Australia, on 20 April 2013.

     Dubbed 'the Bullet,' Case's R/C car officially hit a top speed of 202.02 mph according to the Radio Operated Scale Speed Association (ROSSA).  

   To set this new world record, Case used off-the-shelf components from Futaba, a Japanese company specialized in conventional R/C cars, the InAutoNews reported.
