The Guinness World Records' record for the largest hockey lesson consisted of 509 participants, achieved at event organised by Cundall Manor School in Yorkshire, UK, on 21 March 2015. 498 students were assisted by 11 coaches as part of this event

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest street hockey tournament; it consists of 5,360 teams and 35,970 players and was achieved by Hockey Night in Canada's Play On! (Canada) across 21 cities in Canada, from May to September 2013.

She started playing more than 65 years ago at Lismore in northern New South Wales while aged in her teens.

Over her career Ms Larsen has played in most positions and even represented the ACT at a national level.

Ms Larsen plays in the Women's State League five competition, where she joins teammates who are often less than half her age.

She started thinking about retirement after suffering a minor stroke in March this year.
"I just don't feel that I am carrying my weight enough in the team now and I don't want to jeopardise their games," she said. "So I might just have to take a back seat next year."

Ms Larsen is still planning to turn up for umpiring duties and to pass on her tips to any juniors in need of advice.

The next oldest competitive female hockey player in the world is 76 years old.
