 Farthest basketball shot: Corey "Thunder" Law breaks Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

PHOENIX, AZ, USA -- Harlem Globetrotters player Corey "Thunder" Law completely shattered the Guinness World Records world record for farthest basketball shot made backwards; with a distance of 82'2", Thunder broke the previous world record by 10 feet and set the
new world record for the farthest backwards basketball shot (Longest backwards basketball shot), according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the farthest basketball shot made backwards was 22 m (72 ft 2 in) by Rômulo Fontoura (Brazil) at the Reinan Batista sports complex in Baixa Grande, Brazil, on 20 August 2011.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most players in a basketball exhibition match; it is 1,464 was achieved by the Fiesta Nacional del Básquet in Estadio Club Estudiantes, Bahia Blanca, Argentina, from 7-9 September 2012

   Harlem Globetrotters player Corey "Thunder" Law already owned the Guinness World Recods world record for farthest basketball shot .

   Law achieved his second world record Wednesday, standing near one basket at Phoenix's US Airways Center and tossing the ball over his head behind him and across the length of the court, a looping arc that found its target more than 82 feet away, the ABC News reported.

   Law's shot, completed on the annual Guinness World Records Day, broke the old Guinness World Records world record by 10 feet.

   "This is an unbelievable experience," Law said. "My first one was unbelievable, but this definitely tops it."
