The Guinness World Records' record for the most varieties of sausage commercially available is held by Chris Fenwick of Fenwicks Sausage and Meat Emporium, Lincolnshire, UK who currently sells 83 different varieties.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest sausage chain; it measured 1,500 m (4,921 ft 3 in) and was made by the guild of butchers of Gelsenkirchen (Germany) in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

The World's Longest Budweiser Beer Brat was made in house by owner Michael Ptacek, and his sons Raphael and Tom.
It consisted of 75 pounds of pork, 144 ounces of Budweiser Beer, and six pounds of spices.
It took a team of 75 volunteers to help roll the 90 pound brat every four minutes while a crowd of 7,000 people looked on. The brat was perfectly grilled within twenty minutes, and placed in a 151' bun.
"We were confident we could cook the long brat, but knew the brat wouldn't be complete without an equally long bun" co-owner Pat Ptacek said.
Seventy pounds of bread dough was successfully baked by Michael Ptacek and with the help of family and friends, placed on a custom made pan created by Budweiser and covered.
"Our community leaders and customers did a tremendous job in cooking the brat, and the Budweiser Clydesdales were over-the-top exciting to see," said Ptacek.
"We were blown away by the crowd that came out to support us in this attempt. People kept coming up to me all day long asking when we were going to do this again."
After the event, owner Michael Ptacek said "people can say it can't be done. But in Prescott, we can get it done. This event was a celebration of a community coming together.
"We had a crowd of about 7,000 spectators and 180 volunteer workers spend their Labor day with us, witnessing something special. We set a record. And by the end of the day, we raised $64,533 in seven hours. We will forever be grateful to everyone who supported us in this event."
The event was said to be the biggest thing to ever happen in Prescott and took three months to plan.
Ptacek's IGA worked in partnership with the Prescott Foundation and the City of Prescott to make the fundraising effort a success.

The sale of the famous brat, other food and beverages, t-shirts, hats, and Brat Commander Club memberships raised $64,533.
This money will go towards building a new public park in Prescott, to be named Clydesdale Park that will feature a splash pad, playground, pavilion, walking path, and green space.
The Ptacek Family donated the $37,000 it cost to host the event. Also at the event, the Lion's Club baked a 12' apple pie and sold it for their own fundraiser.
"It's good for community spirit," Prescott's Mayor Mark Huber said.
"Events like this or Prescott Daze are unifying factors. People tend to stay inside a lot. It builds a little community pride and spirit."
"I believe we only truly help the community when you give more than you ask back," Rick Nechio, director of retail development for Budweiser, said of planning the event.
"I was inspired by the retail community that ran independent fund raisers to support the new city park."
The world record attempt was sponsored by Budweiser
and Bill's Distributing
.
Local Prescott businesses Muddy Waters, Scabs, Pilot House, No Name, Broadstreet, Brickyard, and Philanders promoted donations of $1 from each Budweiser
Bucket sold to help support the park.
