  Largest Tin of Caviar: Dubai sets world record

   DUBAI, UAE -- Burj Al Arab Jumeirahjoined forces with AmStur Caviar, the premiere US supplier of world-class caviar, to set the world record title for the largest tin of caviar ever created; the monumental tin, named "The Mashenomak" in honour of the "Great White Sturgeon" of Native American legend, was custom-made by AmStur for the occasion; it contained 17kg of deliciously flavourful, deep-grey Empress caviar, according to the World Record Academy .

The Guinness World Records world record for the most expensive of all caviar, and indeed the world's most expensive food is 'Almas', from the Iranian Beluga fish - 1 kg (2 lb 3 oz) of this 'black gold' is regularly sold for £20,000 (then $34,500).

     Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most expensive sushi; it costs 91,800 Phillipino Pesos (£1,313.88, $1,978.15) for five pieces of nigiri garnished with diamonds and wrapped in 24-karat gold leaf produced by chef Angelito Araneta Jr. (Phillipines).

     The monumental tin, named "The Mashenomak" in honour of the "Great White Sturgeon" of Native American legend, was custom-made by AmStur for the occasion.

    It contained 17kg of deliciously flavourful, deep-grey Empress caviar, the world's only fully certified organic caviar from native-raised sturgeon, which has been called "an organic culinary masterpiece."

   As part of the record-guidelines and GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS requirements, the entire portion of caviar had to be completely consumed, allowing guests to enjoy the luxurious tastes of the caviar.
