  Largest cookery lesson: China breaks Guinness World Records record

   BEIJING, China -- Thousands of dumpling makers managed to create a new World Record in Zhengzhou, Henan Province; a total of 6,334 people participated in the record attempt, setting the new world record for the Largest cookery lesson, according to the World Record Academy .
With winter solstice, one of 24 Chinese traditional astronomical markers, around the corner, nearly 7000 people have begun making dumplings together at Zhengzhou's International Exhibition Center, hoping to set a new World Record for the largest cooking lesson in Henan's capital, Zhengzhou. Families, including adults and their children, ranging in age from 4 to 70 years old, take part in the event.

The Guinness World Records world record for the largest cookery lesson was achieved by 6,334 people during an event organised by See Joyde and One Plus One Natural Flour (both China), in Zhengzhou, China, on 20 December 2015.

     Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest pasta making lesson; it consists of 391 participants, and was organised by Junior Chamber International Japan Saitama Chuo (Japan) at Kanezuka Park in Saitama, Saitama, Japan, on 9 August 2015.


    A total of 6,334 people participated in the record attempt with the youngest being just four years old and the oldest 70, reported the Chinese language China News Service.

    The group succeeded in setting a world record for the "largest cookery lesson" held in one place. The previous Guinness World Records world record was set only a day earlier by 5,448 people in Harbin.
