  Largest rum tasting event: UK RumFest breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)

LONDON, UK -- Some 353 rum fans have collectively broken the Guinness World Records' world record for the largest rum tasting as part of the eighth annual RumFest held in London; Global rum ambassador and RumFest founder Ian Burrell led a tasting of six rums at London's ILEC, with figures from each distillery in attendance to present their product, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest rum tasting event involved 353 participants, conducted by the Global Rum Ambassador, Ian Burrell (UK) in London, UK, on 9 October 2014.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most varieties of rum commercially available; it is 102 and was set by Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel. It was verified in Hong Kong, China, on 29 October 2008.

   A total of 353 attendees were given a comprehensive and unrivaled masterclass with six esteemed rums with leading rum names, followed by a Q&A. Pusser's Rum was presented by Head of Rum Procurement George Freegard.
