Louise Greenfarb breaks Guinness world record

HENDERSON, NV, USA -- Louise J. Greenfarb, also known as The Magnet Lady, from Henderson (suburb of Las Vegas, USA), has 35,000 non-duplicated fridge magnets that she has been collecting since the 1970's,
setting the new world record for the Largest collection of refrigerator magnets, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

 The Guinness world record for the Largest fridge magnet collection was set by Louise. J. Greenfarb, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, who has 35,000 non-dupluicated fridge magnets that she has been collectiong since the 1970's.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest collection of letter openers; it is 5,000 letter openers and belongs to Santa Fe College Foundation (USA), in Gainesville, Florida, USA.

  Over 7,000 magnets from Greenfarb's collection were exhibited at the Guinness World Records Museum in Las Vegas, which has since closed.

  A refrigerator magnet or fridge magnet is an ornament, often whimsical, attached to a small magnet, which is used to post items such as shopping lists, child art or reminders on a refrigerator door, or which simply serves as decoration.

  Refrigerator magnets come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, including thin die cut forms the thickness of heavy card stock, and may have promotional messages placed on them.
