  Largest wooden jigsaw puzzle: Dave Evans breaks Guinness world record

LONDON, UK -- Dave Evans spent 35 days cutting the 40,763 parts of a giant Queen's diamond jubilee jigsaw hand-cut which is on display at Sandringham House; measuring 6m by 2.5m, the jigsaw sets the new world record for the Largest largest hand-cut wooden jigsaw puzzle, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

 The Guinness world record for the Largest jigsaw puzzle - most pieces consisted of 551,232 pieces and was completed with an overall measurement of 14.85 x 23.20 m (48 ft 8.64 in x 76 ft 1.38 in) by 1,600 students of the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), at the Phu Tho Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest spherical jigsaw puzzle, which measures 4.77 m (15 ft 7.8 in) in circumference and was made by Unima Industrial (HK) Ltd in Hong Kong.

  Dave Evans, who lives with wife Margaret in Weymouth, spent 35 days cutting the 40,763 parts of the puzzle by hand at his Jigsaw Workshop in Brewers Quay.

  The Diamond Jubilee Puzzle, featuring 33 pictures taken in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee year, is now safely exhibited on a wooden frame at the Queen's private residence at Sandringham in Norfolk for a Diamond Jubilee exhibition, The Dorset Echo reported.

  The world's largest hand-cut wooden jigsaw puzzle features dozens of images of the various street parties, festivals and events, plus the incredible Thames flotilla pageant that took place during the Queen's very successful Jubilee year.
