Largest gospel choir: London Community Gospel Choir broke Guinness world record (VIDEO)
LONDON, UK -- London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC) was joined by hundreds of singers from gospel choirs across Europe to break the Guinness World Records' record for the largest ever massed gospel choir (in concert conditions) singing 'Oh Happy Day' as the finale of their 30th Anniversary Concert at the Royal Festival Hall, as part of the Chorus Festival at London's Southbank Centre; with 1,169 officially taking part, they set
the new world record for the Largest gospel choir,

The previous Guinness World Records' record for the largest gospel choir was 1,138 participants and was organized by Mano Ezoh (Germany) at the Olympiahalle, Munich, Germany, on 15 October 2011.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest choir; it consisted of 121,440 people and was organised by The Art of Living (India), in Perungalathur, Chennai, India, on 30 January 2011.
London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC) broke the Guinness World Record for the largest ever massed gospel choir (in concert conditions) singing 'Oh Happy Day' as the finale of their 30th Anniversary Concert at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, May 5, 2013, as part of the Chorus Festival at London's Southbank Centre.
LCGC was joined by hundreds of singers from gospel choirs across Europe to break the record, and beat it with 1,169 officially taking part.
